Exposição se desdobra em outras espacialidades nos
tempos de pandemia
A
exposição O avesso do avesso do avesso
que seria realizada em março no Museu da Faculdade de Belas Artes da
Universidade do Porto se expande para o espaço digital ocupando uma face da
plataforma Virose. Em decorrência do isolamento social, os artistas se reuniram
para pensar outras espacialidades para a exposição planejada. Dali nasceu o
site que agora é aliado às redes sociais em uma série de conversas e
intervenções propostas pelo grupo como forma de refletir e dialogar sobre a
pesquisa e a prática artística no momento atual.
Nessa
transposição diversos aspectos foram questionados quanto ao fazer artístico e a
limitação ao espaço digital. Afinal como expôr uma pintura ou dialogar com o
espaço escultórico por meio dos ecrãns de computadores e telemóveis? O que se
transforma nas relações entre os artista e público quando o contacto do corpo
torna-se um risco? Como encontrar nos caminhos de re-existência da arte um
horizonte possível? O digital será afinal um limite temporário ou uma nova
condição dos meios?
Entre
essas e outras tantas questões, o coletivo que se formou no desenvolvimento do
“avesso [...]” abre agora um outro espaço de diálogo para a reflexão crítica
que se dá no embate entre as pesquisas individuais e esse momento de tamanha
metamorfose no fazer artístico. Por meio das redes sociais, a partir de julho o
grupo irá realizar uma série de diálogos e intervenções acerca desse contexto,
trançando pesquisa académica, prática artística e os tempos pandêmicos do
agora.

The Reversal of the inside-ou
reversal, that would happen in
March at the Faculdade de Belas Artes Museum of Universidade do Porto expands
to the digital space occupying another face of the Virose platform. Due to the
social isolation, the artists gathered to think about other spatialities for
the planned exhibition. From that was born the website that is now linked to
the social media in a series of conversations and interventions proposed by the
group as a way to reflect and dialogue on the research and the artistic
practice at the current moment.
On
this transposition several aspects were questioned regarding the artistic
practice and the limitations to the digital space. After all, how to expose a
painting or think about the sculptorical space through the computer and mobile
screens? What changes in the relations between the artist and the public when
the body contact becomes a risk? How could we find a possible silver lining in
the paths of art re-existence? Will the digital field be a temporary limitation
after all or a new condition of the media?
Amongst
these and so many other issues, the group that got together in the development
of The reversal [...] now opens
another space for dialogue and critical thinking that occurs in the clash
between individual researches and this moment of great metamorphosis in the
artistic practice. Throughout social media, from July on the group will promote
various dialogues and interventions about this context, conecting academic
research, artistic practice and the recent pandemic times.
